Timaeus lets wandering participate in cosmic intelligence: time as a moving image of eternity. That is order, not a natal handbook.
πλανῆται
Greek, “wanderers.” A class-word for lights that would not keep station among the fixed stars. Once named, they can be dated. Once dated, they can be tabled. Once tabled, a later revolt against the table becomes possible. The word is Plato’s Timaeus, Athens, fourth century BCE. The tables are Ptolemy’s Almagest, Alexandria, second century CE.

The Almagest keeps an appointment with a wanderer. Cosmic order is not personal fate. Without the tables, Kepler has nothing to revolt against. The revolt is later.
