Greek, “wanderers.” A class-word for lights that would not keep station among the fixed stars. Once named, they can be dated. Once dated, they can be tabled. Once tabled, a later revolt against the table becomes possible.
Table
The Almagest keeps an appointment with a wanderer. Cosmic order is not personal fate. Without the tables, Kepler has nothing to revolt against. The revolt is later.
